Twenty-four wolves killed as of October 25

On Tuesday, October 16, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel outdoors editor Paul Smith wrote:

Hunters killed four wolves Monday, the opening day of the 2012-’13 Wisconsin wolf hunting and trapping season, according to the Department of Natural Resources.

The wolves were killed by hunters using rifles. The kills were recorded in Eau Claire, Iron, Rusk and Vilas counties.

Two of the wolves were male. None wore a radio collar.
