DNR Secretary Cathy Stepp told the Wisconsin State Legislature Joint Finance Committee that the state will consider selling naming rights to state parks to help the parks operate without tax support, as proposed in Gov. Walker’s biennial budget.

    Yes, I think selling the naming right of state parks is the only way to get the 52% of the population in Wisconsin to stop voting for Scott Walker. Seeing a beautiful state park like Cooper Falls State Park being renamed the Koch Brothers State Park will hit people like a sledge hammer. Once Scott Walker is gone, we the people of Wisconsin will be stuck with these renamed state parks for years to go. Which will suck!

    Yes, I think it will be the only way for the 52% of the state population who voted for Scott Walker to finally open their eyes and see Scott Walker for what he truly is… A politician who can be bought and paid for by the rich. Once people start seeing state parks being named… Koch Brother State Park, or the Wal-Mart State Park, people will finally say to themselves – ‘what the hell did we do!’

    We should sell the naming rights to the Governor’s Mansion and the Capital Building first, as they’ve alread been bought and paid for.
